An intimate coastal retreat for those who love the bicycle,

Westport, Massachusetts • Seasonal Retreat Dates
Sunrise from the Front Porch

As the sun lifts over quiet water and the day begins to stir, there is a brief, unguarded moment—soft light on wood, breath in cool air, the sense of arriving before the world fully wakes.
At Bespoke Cycle & Yoga House, we hold space for these moments. For moving with intention, for shared mornings and long days on the bike, and for returning—again and again—to what is simple, real, and quietly sustaining.
The Experience
The Place
Tucked along the South Coast of Massachusetts, where land and sea intersect and salt air moves through open fields, Westport occupies a space where time still follows a natural rhythm.
Just west of Cape Cod and within reach of Providence and Boston, this corner of New England remains quietly removed—defined by open space, winding coastal roads, and a landscape that invites you to soften, settle, and simply arrive.

The Rides
The riding here unfolds along quiet coastal roads, rolling farmland, and hidden routes that feel both expansive and intimate. Each ride is thoughtfully designed to meet the group where it is — whether that means a relaxed morning spin or a more demanding, soul-opening effort.
This is not about pace or performance metrics. It’s about rhythm, breath, and the quiet satisfaction of moving through a landscape that invites presence.
For those who seek it, there is depth here — long distances, layered terrain, and the kind of riding that reveals something over time. And for those arriving more gently, there is equal space to ease in, connect, and simply enjoy the bicycle again.
Every route is an invitation:
to explore, to feel, and to move forward — in your own way.

The Table
Meals at the house are an extension of the experience — thoughtful, nourishing, customizable and quietly memorable.
Menus are shaped by season, place, and preference, blending Mediterranean influence with New England ingredients in a way that feels both elevated and grounded. Everything is prepared with intention, whether it’s a simple breakfast before a morning ride or a shared evening meal after a full day.
There is space here to enjoy food without rigidity — to eat well, to gather, and to let the table become part of the rhythm of the day.
At times, the meals are as restorative as the rides themselves.

The Practice
Daily yoga and mindful movement to support recovery, presence, and breath. Practices are accessible, grounding, and shaped by the rhythm of the day.

A Day in the Life
No two days here need to look the same. For some, the morning begins slowly—coffee in hand, soft light moving through the house, the day unfolding without urgency. For others, it starts in motion, wheels turning along quiet coastal roads as the landscape opens with the rising sun. Movement, when it comes, is intentional but never forced. A ride, a practice, time spent in stillness—each offered as an invitation rather than a requirement.
Meals are shared, unhurried, shaped as much by conversation as by what’s on the table. Afternoons leave room to rest, explore, or simply be. There is a natural rhythm to the days here—but how that rhythm takes form is something we shape together in advance.
Prior to your arrival, we collaborate around your preferences—whether that’s movement, meals, or the overall pace of your stay—so everything is thoughtfully prepared and ready for you.
And once you’re here, there’s always space to adjust, soften, or shift as the experience unfolds.
Nothing is rigid.
The experience meets you where you are.
Your Host
Movement as a practice. Presence as a way of life.

John is an endurance athlete, guide, and steward of this space.
His life has been shaped by long distances, deep listening, and the quiet discipline of showing up day after day.
Over the years, John has completed multi-day, self-supported cycling journeys spanning thousands of miles, traversing both the coastal route between New England and Florida and the inland mountain corridors of the Blue Ridge. He has also run numerous ultra-distance races and 100-mile endurance events — experiences that taught him something far more important than performance:
how to meet the body where it is, and move forward with patience, humility, and respect.
At BeSpoke, that ethos carries into every ride, every movement session, and every conversation.
This is not about pushing limits for their own sake. It’s about creating a container where guests feel supported to explore their own edge — whether that edge is physical, emotional, or simply the courage to slow down.
John’s role here is to hold the arc of the experience:
to read the energy of the group, to design routes and rhythms that feel both expansive and grounded, and to make sure each guest feels considered, not compared.
You don’t come here to prove anything.
You come here to return to yourself — with someone who understands both endurance and gentleness from the inside out.
The House
A place that holds you.
Built in 1787, this house has stood through centuries of tide, weather, and change. The floors are not perfectly level. The walls carry the quiet memory of many lives lived before this one. And that is precisely what gives this place its presence.
There is something grounding about being held by a space that has endured. Guests often remark on the feeling the moment they arrive — a subtle exhale, a softening, a sense of being welcomed into something older and steadier than modern life.
This is not a polished retreat center. It is a living home — warm, textured, and quietly alive. The creak of the floorboards, the morning light across the porch, the way the air shifts with the tides — these are not imperfections to be hidden, but invitations to slow down and listen.
We believe that where you heal matters. The land, the water, the age of the structure itself all become part of the experience. This house does not perform. It simply holds — and in doing so, invites you to do the same.

Guest Experiences

“This was one of the best experiences we’ve had. The space, the energy, and the care behind it all made it something we’ll carry with us.”
What You Leave With
There’s nothing here you need to achieve. What unfolds over the course of your time is often quieter than that—less about adding something new, and more about returning to what’s already within you.
A steadier sense of presence.
A body that feels more open and alive.
A mind that has softened its grip.
And a deeper trust in your own rhythm.
What you leave with isn’t something given to you. It’s something you remember.

Reserve
Each stay is intentionally limited to a maximum of six guests, allowing the experience to remain personal, spacious, and deeply considered.
Many guests choose a four to six night stay to fully settle into the experience. As a general guide, most stays fall within a range of approximately $1,200–$1,800 per guest, depending on the length of stay and how the experience is shaped.
Whether you’re coming on your own or as part of a group, your time here is shaped in collaboration. From the length of your stay to meals, movement, and overall pace, everything is thoughtfully designed in advance based on what you’re looking for.
Individual guests are welcome, with shared accommodations available. Groups of two to six may also reserve the entire house for a more private experience.
Guests have full access to the home throughout their stay. I am nearby if needed, with a private studio apartment located above the yoga space—close enough to support the experience, while allowing you complete privacy within the house.
Begin the Conversation
If you feel a resonance with what’s been shared here, this is simply an invitation to begin a conversation.
There’s nothing to commit to yet—just a space to explore what you’re drawn to and what might take shape.
What is your soul interested in right now?
What kind of restoration are you longing for?
Are you arriving in a season of stillness, or are you feeling the call to move, explore, and expand your edges?
Whether you’re seeking quiet, connection, or a deeper expression of your endurance, we’ll shape something that meets you where you are.
Share whatever feels natural, and we’ll begin from there.
